Welcome to FIU and the College of Architecture + The Arts!

Committed to an interdisciplinary curriculum with experiential learning opportunities that prepare our graduates for gainful and meaningful employment, the College of Architecture + The Arts has become a national model for arts and design education. Unique in composition and mission, our fully-accredited, seven academic departments – Architecture, Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture + Environmental and Urban Design, Art + Art History, Communication Arts, Music, and Theatre – take advantage of our South Florida location by engaging in problem-solving initiatives with our local and global communities, utilizing the power of the arts to create, innovate, and inspire a more just, beautiful, sustainable, and healthy tomorrow.

Our 6,000 accomplished alumni, 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students, and 100 internationally acclaimed full-time faculty and professional staff members are as accomplished and diverse as Miami itself. With state-of-the art educational and performance facilities, such as the Paul L. Cejas School of Architecture Building and the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center, as well as  a cultural arts incubator on Lincoln Road – Miami Beach Urban Studios —  the College of Architecture + The Arts is our community’s premier educational cultural destination.

Whether you are a student, parent, alum, or patron, I invite you to learn more about our distinguished faculty, students, and programs by contacting me at schriner@fiu.edu, or by visiting us at carta.fiu.edu.
