Lectures and Events

Students in the Department of Architecture are introduced and exposed to some of the most interesting and important ideas in design today through a series of lectures and exhibitions each semester. Evening lectures are normally held in the Paul L. Cejas School of Architecture, Room 135 at 5PM on Thursdays, unless otherwise noted. (Directions to PCA can be found here.) Other opportunities for less formal lectures are continually being introduced throughout the year.

The Department shares exhibition space with the Departments of Landscape Architecture + Environmental and Urban Design and Interior Architecture. At PCA, these include a large exhibition space in the BEA Gallery and a smaller exhibition on the 2nd floor around the Dean’s Administrative Suite. The department also shares with the Departments of Interior Architecture and Landscape Architecture an exhibition space at the Miami Beach Urban Studios (MBUS), and has occasional use of a large exhibition space at MBUS that is coordinated by the faculty in the Department of Art + Art History.

LecturePoster_F_2014

All lectures will take place on Thursday evenings at 5:00pm in the Modesto A. Madique Campus’ Paul L. Cejas School of Architecture Building (PCA) room 135, unless otherwise noted.

All lectures are free and open to the public.

*Lecture held at the College of Architecture + the Arts Miami Beach Urban Studios on Lincoln Road.
