Tuition and Costs

The cost of attending FIU during the 2013–14 academic year depends on a few factors. If you are taking undergraduate courses, the costs per credit are $203.59 per credit for in-state students and $616.89 per credit for out-of-state students.  That means that in-state students taking 15 undergraduate credits per semester should expect to pay $3,053.85 per semester (not counting semester fees). Out-of-state students taking 15 undergraduate credits should expect to pay $9,253.35 per semester (not counting semester fees).

In-state students taking graduate level courses (5XXX or above) will pay $493.78 per credit and should expect a fifteen-credit semester to cost $7,406.70 (not counting semester fees). For out-of-state students graduate tuition is $997.86 per credit, so a fifteen-credit semester will be $14,967.90 (not counting semester fees). The university has estimated the cost of tuition and costs at FIU in a variety of ways.
