As a practicing architect for nearly two decades, Chad Oppenheim has developed architectural design of varying scales for local and international clients. Many of Oppenheim’s smaller works dot the landscape of South Beach and near the FIU Miami Beach Urban Studios.
In 2007, Oppenheim made his Miami debut with Ten Museum Park Condominiums, a project that led the way to future architectural endeavors including the neighboring 1000 Museum Tower by Zaha Hadid. While creating iconic buildings Oppenheim has simultaneously pursued design innovations that connect man with nature through environmentally conscious architecture.
Oppenheim’s environmentally fueled design is on display from the entrance to the local Simpson Park, to the Enea Headquarters in Rapperwil-Jona, and even in the luxury eco-resort in Jordan’s Waid Rum desert. Presently, these and many more of Oppenheim’s designs can be seen in his new book titled Spirit of Place, produced by TRA Publishing.
Chad Oppenheim is a Miami Beach resident with offices in Downtown Miami and in Basel, Switzerland. He truly exemplifies the many ways in which members of the FIU CARTA Leadership Advisory Board [FIU College of Communication, Architecture and The Arts | Miami Beach Urban Studios] work to make the world a better place, while bringing expertise and opportunity to FIU and its students.
