A LIE OF THE MIND BY SAM SHEPARD |
| |
February 11-14 | 8pm Thurs-Sat & 2pm Sun |
| |
Set in the gritty American West, a severe incident
of spousal abuse leaves two families' lives forever changed. The two families
are connected by the marraige of Jake and Beth. Jake's beating and
subsequent hospitalization of his wife Beth, initiates the beginning of the
play. Exploring family disfunction and the nature of love, the play follows
Jake as he searches for meaning after Beth, and her family, as they struggle
with Beth's brain damage. The violent suspense will grip you. Playwright Sam
Shepard portrays a true snapshot of American culture today tainted with the
harsh realities of alcoholism, domestic violence, and families in conflict.
Wayne Robinson, director. |
