FIU Music presents: |
| FALL OPERA PRODUCTION |
| December 11–12 | 7:30pm |
| "Il mondo della luna" (The World on the Moon). This production marks the 40th anniversary of the moon landing; the 200th anniversary of Haydn's death; and the 400th anniversary of Galileo's invention of the astronomical telescope. Haydn's delightful setting of a Goldoni farce tells the story of a gullible old man, a bogus astronomer, and the star-crossed young lovers separated by fate and the moon. Robert Dundas, director. |
