Eric Peterson and Darci Pappano, faculty at Architecture Department receive a travel grant from the German Academic Exchange Service
This summer eighteen FIU CARTA students from the departments of Interior Architecture and Landscape Architecture Environmental and Urban Design will travel to Germany with Instructors Darci Pappano and Eric Peterson to participate in the Bauhaus Open Studios Program from the German Academic Exchange Service. This six-week interdisciplinary workshop culminates in a one-week residency at the historic Bauhaus campus in Dessau Germany to learn about the important role that Bauhaus pedagogy has played in shaping art and design education throughout the 20th century. Students will live in the historic Bauhaus dormitories and study in the restored Unesco World Heritage building designed by architect Walter Gropius.
