| In July 2006, Florida International University established the College of Architecture and The Arts, which is comprised of the School of Architecture, School of Art and Art History, School of Music, School of Theatre, Dance, and Speech Communication, and The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum. The dynamics among the five units makes the college unique in South Florida with programs that focus on art, design, and performance.
The College promotes exploration, discovery, and innovation among its different programs. It is strongly committed to interdisciplinary education breaking new ground. Its diverse programs emphasize urban engagement and are informed by current thinking and new technologies.
