Nancy L. Green, Ed.D., is the former Assistant Director, Marketing & Enrollment Management at Ivy Tech Community College – Richmond (Indiana). Green’s career includes executive leadership positions in two national media companies – Lee Enterprises, Inc. where she was corporate vice president for Circulation, publisher, the Waterloo (IA) Courier, president, STL Distribution and Lee vice president for circulation of the St. Louis Post Dispatch; and, at the Gannett Co. Inc. as publisher of Springfield (MO) News-Leader, Richmond (IN) Palladium-Item and Assistant to the President of the Newspaper Division on corporate staff.

Her higher education leadership includes vice president positions in the University System of Georgia (USG) at Clayton State University in Advancement and at the Systems’ online learning initiative in Communications. Also was general manager of student media operations at the Universities of Texas-Austin and Kentucky.

Green earned BA and MA degrees in journalism from the universities of Kentucky and Ball State and a doctorate in online education from Nova Southeastern University. She is a member of the Ball State University and Kentucky Journalism Halls of Fame and a recipient of the Ball State Journalism Alumni Award.

Dr. Green is president, 360 Media Alliance circulation board of directors and a member of the advisory boards of the Institute for Rural Journalism and Community Issues and School of Journalism and Telecommunications at the University of Kentucky.

She is secretary on the Board of Directors of the Economic Development Corporation of Wayne County, board member of Center City Development Corporation and the Starr-Gennett Foundation. She is a member of the Mayor’s Economic Vitality Council, Positive Place Initiative steering committee, member of Kiwanis and she is active in numerous regional and national education, professional and civic organizations.
