This seminar is organized by a working research team from Florida International University, University Toulouse 1 Capitole -UT1C- (France), and University Toulouse 2 Jean Jaurès -UT2J- (France) will be held on October 22 and 23, 2019 in Miami (FIU). This is a trilingual scientific cooperation among North America, Latin America, and Europe, and presentations will be in French, Spanish and English. This seminar is part of an ongoing program entitled “Mental Health on University Campuses” which will be held alternately in Toulouse and Miami, and will include Buenos Aires in upcoming years.

The collaborative work among Dr. Villar, Dr Tilli and Dr Vavassori is focused on developing intercultural understandings of the topic of mental health, as it offers opportunities for dialogue from different cultural and disciplinary perspectives. The seminar brings together diverse participants from different backgrounds to have a rich and cross-reflection of a complex issue. This two-day multidisciplinary seminar will cover a wide range of topics related to mental health among college students.
As part of this unprecedented collaboration (between the Legal Institute of Space, Territories, Culture and Communication -UT1C-, the department of clinical psychology of the subject and the LCPI -UT2J- and the Department of Communication from FIU) will address the theme of “Mental Health on University Campuses” from different angles. We invite you to submit your paper on the topic of: “Mental Health on University Campuses: current issues and challenges.” The idea of ​​this first meeting is to lay the groundwork for future research.
This seminar is open to the general public and designed over two days: the first day of the seminar comprises academic and professional meetings, and the second day will focus on panels and posters with student participation. Proceedings from the seminar will be published and disseminated to participants.
