How to Apply

We offer students the opportunity to study and perform the world’s greatest music with distinguished artist/faculty in one of the finest concert venues in the region. We are a fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music and offer a conservatory-style education in the atmosphere of a Research I University.

Undergraduate Admission

1. Apply for Admission

2. Complete the GetAcceptd Pre-Screening Application

  • Complete your GetAcceptd submission application to the School of Music. If you pass this pre-screening process you will be invited to a live audition.
  • Organized auditions are held three times per year, but can be scheduled at other times throughout the year upon request. Applicants who wish to be considered for University merit-based scholarships should attend the November 4th audition date. Theory and history placement tests will be given during organized audition days. Upcoming audition dates include:

           Saturday, November 4, 2017

           Saturday, February 3, 2018

          Saturday, March 3, 2018

3. Apply for Scholarships

  • There are a number of University-wide and SOM scholarships available to students.
  • Anyone interested in receiving university-wide scholarships, federal grants, work study, or loans must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Visit the Financial Aid webpage for more information.
  • Visit the SOM Scholarships Page for detailed descriptions of available SOM scholarships and access to the online application. Students must have a 3.0 GPA to be considered.
