FIU Music Festival: The Camerata Antonio Soler: Revitalizing Spanish Classics

The Camerata Antonio Soler is a multi-stylistic chamber orchestra founded in 2011 with the purpose of approaching a varied repertoire of works from different eras and, basing its interpretations on historic musical criteria and the use of original instruments when required.
Under the direction of Gustavo Sánchez, they will share enriching repertoire of orchestral early Spanish music with Miami audiences and help restore the historic musical heritage of composers like Soler and Brunetti.
They have performed on many occasions at the National Auditorium of Madrid, the Escorial Auditorium and in Lisbon, within the framework of an important international congress of musicology. The Camerata is also the Resident Orchestra of the International Orchestra Conducting Course in San Lorenzo del Escorial.
