Summer Enrichment Camps for High School Students

The Florida International University (FIU) Robotics and Fabrication lab, offers immersive summer camps that encourage tech innovation learning for young students. Camps focused on Robotics and Advanced Fabrication, Small Robotics, Digital Design, and Immersive Visualization, are offered at the lab. We offer a flexible time structure, meaning that camps can range from as little as a week to a summer-long period, depending on the client’s preference. Our goal is to expose young minds to the latest and upcoming technology, and to the opportunities that are offered in STEM fields.

Students will learn how to create real time visualization tools such as desktop PC 2D and 3D computer games. Students learn how to use 3D modeling software Rhinoceros, and real-time visualization software Unreal Engine to create immersive environments. The camp will be organized as follows:

To develop a schedule matching your desired time-frame, go to the contact page.

Students will learn the fundamentals of robotic arms operations using the 3D modeling software Rhinoceros, the visual programming tool Grasshopper, and its plug-in KUKA prc. The camp will be organized as follows:

To develop a schedule matching your desired time-frame, go to the contact page.

Students will learn the fundamentals of Arduino microcontrollers and its application, as well as building an interactive smart instrument using servo motors, and distance sensors. The camp will be organized as follows:

To develop a schedule matching your desired time-frame, go to the contact page.

Students will learn the fundamentals of the 3D modeling software Rhinoceros, and its visual programming tool Grasshopper in order to create digital parametric designs. Students will also learn how to 3D print their own designs and will get to keep their creations. The camp will be organized as follows:
