With the College of Engineering and Computing, we have been awarded grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF)to train the architecture, engineering, and construction industries in using artificial intelligence and immersive technologies.

Our faculty lead and have led the Boards of local, national, and international professional and academic organizations, including NAAB, ACSA, ASLA, LAF, CELA, UIA, and AIA.

We are one of only 22 U.S. programs to offer an Integrated Path to Architectural Licensure (IPAL), allowing students to complete requirements for professional licensure while earning their degrees

FIU By Design offers our students paid opportunities to engage with industry professionals and municipalities on real-world projects for real clients while they are still in school.

Our annual D3E and Career Fair events draw hundreds of professional and student participants. In 2019 ranked among the top 20 in the DesignIntelligence “Most Hired from Architecture Schools” category.

We are one of only five U.S programs to offer a STEM-focused Doctor of Design (DDes) degree.
