Dear Friends of the FIU School of Architecture,

With a guiding vision of providing access to excellence, the FIU School of Architecture (SOA) was founded 25 years ago as South Florida’s first public professional architecture program.

Building upon their vision and principles of (1) always be leading from the front, (2) always be finding ways to improve and better serve, and (3) always be challenging ourselves and the those around us, today, the SOA proudly graduates more Hispanic students than any other design school in the country and is consistently ranked in the Top 20 for public schools of architecture in North America!

Home to an accomplished faculty, talented students, and many of the country’s most innovative and distinguished professional degree programs, today, the SOA offers the nation’s only cruise ship and super yacht design program, the nation’s first tropical and subtropical landscape architecture program, and Florida’s only Doctor of Design (D.Des) — one of only five such degrees offered in the country.
