Landscape Architect/Designer Intern
DESCRIPTION
Essencia Air seeks a Landscape Architect Intern to work directly with the Operations Manager and other departments on multiple phases of projects. The projects include the design of Vertical and rooftop gardens for academic institutions, workplace environments, and landscape master plans for private and public clients in Miami-Date and Broward County.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine architectural assignments which may include drafting and design development
- Responsible for correcting and updating drawings
- Works on multiple projects and collaborates with team members
- Ability to be a team player as well as work independently
- Have diligent follow-through on every task assigned
- Be a resourceful self-starter
- Performs calculations and basic analytical tasks
- Conducts research for the project team
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in landscape architecture
- Creative, Driven, Friendly
- Superb written and verbal skills (not shy on the phone!)
- Bilingual is a plus
- Ability to prioritize while multitasking
- Ability to balance productivity with high quality of work
- Natural desire to provide excellent, hands-on customer service
- Detail and process-oriented
- Excellent organizational skills
- At least 2 terms of prior internship or work experience in any field
Working Knowledge of (or similar):
- Adobe Creative Suite: In-Design, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong CAD skills – Google Sketch up a major plus
- Revit a plus
- Rendering Capabilities: 3ds Max, V-Ray, etc. a plus
- Strong Graphic Design skills
- Written and oral communication skills, STRONG ENGLISH SKILLS REQUIRED
COMPENSATION
Unpaid Internship. Receive Credit Hours Towards Your Major & Work Experience. Part-Time.
Undergraduate Avg. 8 to 10 Hours Per Week.
Graduate Avg. 20 Hours Per week
