This is an entry-level position in SGM Engineering Inc. located in Orlando Florida.

The fundamental reason this position exists is to apply professional marketing and proposal knowledge and skills to a variety of functions throughout the firm. Work assignments are broad in scope and require the use of independent judgment and initiative in making decisions of considerable difficulty.

  • Coordinate new business and marketing activities with President, Vice-President, Project Managers and Office Manager as needed.
  • Prepare the proper client applications/forms required for RFQ’s and RFP’s for submittal on possible projects which includes, but is not limited to: SF330, 254/255, and other related applications and forms.
  • Prepare and maintain updates to internal DOD and Non-DOD Marketing Booklets with new projects, resumes;
  • Assist in identify and capturing new opportunities in the following targeted market sectors: DOD, federal, state, local government agencies and commercial markets that capitalize through skill sets/capability matches on these opportunities.
  • Build relationships with all organizational levels to develop relationships that will lead to capturing work as well as providing strategic & tactical marketing communication leadership with these relationships. 
  • Ability to identify, influence and impact key client influences and decision makers.
  • Develop an understanding of federal government procedures such as: Air Force and Navy protocols, related contacts, and inside knowledge of how to identify Air Force and Navy opportunities.
  • Must be able to analyze new opportunities, put together capabilities briefings that define skill sets, pricing, competitive analysis, client discriminators, options, teaming advantages, and preferences.
  • You will be supporting a team of technical, management, and business development professionals in developing and executing capture strategies leading to contract award.
  • Also responsible for developing, drafting and executing a marketing database, capture plans and management decision briefs and participate in all proposal preparation activities. 
  • Prepares special management reports to include weekly marketing/proposal statuses.
  • Consult with and advises internal staff regarding problems of work in progress.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless client service.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements and enhancements associated with standard marketing books, tri-folds, formats and layouts of resumes, etc….
  • Use creativity in developing new artistic and informative marketing materials.

·        Establish a highly confidential environment and support the Project Managers, Office Manager, with a team-player attitude.

·        Prepare Certification and Recertification MBE Applications and Maintain Log of Expiration Dates.

·        Develop and Maintain Proposal and Marketing Files both electronic and hard copy.

·        Be a major team player in assisting with redevelopment of SGM website.
