Responsibilities
As an architectural specialist, you will be responsible to provide professional services in the planning, design, and construction administration of the architectural and interior design aspects of various building types on military installations.
Utilize computer-aided design technology, develop original design and prepare the associated sketches, drawings, design analyses, specifications and similar data for the architectural features of design work accomplished in-house.
Review the architectural aspects of design documents, reports, studies and similar work prepared in-house and by Architect-Engineer(A-E) firms to assure that the architectural elements of the facilities meet the requirements of the client.
Review contractor shop drawing submittals for compliance with the contract requirements and evaluates proposed contract variances and equipment, furniture and furnishings substitutions with respect to the design intent.
Develop the initial definition of project mission and scope, functions, functional relationships, design populations, space requirements, aesthetic qualities, and other considerations and requirements that are the basis of the project and its layout.
Provide technical guidance to lower grade architects and technicians and assists them in solving unique design problems.
