Showcasing the only remaining weighlock building in the United States, the Erie Canal Museum collects and preserves Canal material, and provides engaging educational experiences that champion an appreciation and understanding of the Erie Canal’s transforming effects on the past, present and future.
Students should consult with academic faculty to determine if this unpaid experience will earn credit.
During the internship you will work on the following initiatives:
- Coordinate and, if necessary, conduct virtual/in-person school field trips.
- Develop and implement strategies for promoting Museum programs.
- Work with statewide Museum partners to facilitate guided cycling series along the Canal.
