The Position:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will accompany a team of Project Managers in executing all phases of various ground-up and renovation projects. Primarily, the APM will help coordinate activities in the field, liaise with subcontractors and vendors, and help coordinate inspection and close-out processes. The position requires strong communication, interpersonal collaboration, leadership skills as well as a technical familiarity of construction processes, means and methods. Working in close collaboration with fellow teammates, the APM will keep the Project Manager and other stakeholders apprised of project progress, contribute project data, as well as interface intermittently with colleagues in other parts of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
The Assistant Project Manager will:
Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that client priorities, contract deliverables and project goals are met.
Help coordinate site activities and field teams into consistently uphold The Sagewood Way quality standards.
Help ensure project workflow schedules and stakeholders remain in sync.
Assist in the gathering of project cost data for each project.
Assist in compiling and maintain progress reports, jobsite logs, and other documentation processes as necessary.
Enforce a site-specific safety plan, including all provisions for an accident-free safe work environment.
Assist in elevating key issues, problem-solving, and mitigating the negative impact among field/project stakeholders onto project deliverables.

Key Qualifications:
We seek dedicated, curious individuals with outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills. Other pre-requisite qualifications for this role include:
• BS/BA degree in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or (1+) years of field experience
• Professional-grade English proficiency
• Familiarity with technical design documents
• Familiarity with construction processes, materials and methods
• High levels of quality and quality standards
• Strong communication, interpersonal collaboration skills
• Highly organized and process driven
• Previous experience in coordinating multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite, project management software
• 10-hour OSHA certification
• Basic familiarity of municipal rules and regulations
• Competent professional communication (written and verbal) skills
• Strong listening skills
Additional Considerations:
• PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset
• Spanish or Portuguese proficiency
• Previous work experience managing high-end or luxury build-outs
