What you’ll be able to do: 

Model e, Ford’s newest organization, is utilizing Design Thinking & User Experience methods to deliver breakthrough products and services that will delight our customers. In the Ford College Graduate (FCG) program, you’ll discover unmatched opportunities to turn your higher education into real-world experience with a company that is redefining human mobility. This rotational program will provide you with the structure (orientation, training opportunities, experiences, mentoring, and feedback) to enhance your technical and professional competencies in the areas that interest you the most. Our goal is to support you and your transition into the robust, inclusive, and engaged workforce needed to meet the changing needs of tomorrow. 

 

To begin your program, you are assigned to a team based on your interests, background, and our business needs. A member of management within your area will be your mentor; they will advise and guide you through a core set of developmental assignments related to your home organization. These assignments are structured to develop your skills and help to build your understanding of your home organization and the product creation process. Your development will be further supported by a variety of technical and professional training opportunities. Once you complete the program, you will be placed within your home organization to continue building your engineering career and developing technical expertise. 

Examples of areas of opportunity include: 

  • Vehicle Software & Electronic Solutions 
  • Architecture & Software Platform 
  • Vehicle Infotainment, Connectivity, and Edge Compute
  • Electrification
  • Location Based Services
  • Fleet services and Applications

Minimum Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in any key Engineering or Computer Science discipline
  • Data Science or similar degree 
  • Mathematics, Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics, or similar degree 
  • Interior or Transportation Design
  • Graduation date by September 2023 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Inquisitive, self-motivated, passionate about learning
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to work within diverse teams
