Summer 2023 Semester:

JOB SUMMARY: This intern role will support the development of show set design, fabrication, and implementation (show sets, props, and static figures) and integration with other show action elements and equipment. The intern will support the show portion of the Ride and Show / Engineering and Safety Team, and support development and running of mock ups, drawings, designs, contracts, and testing documentation.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with production team to ensure creative intent and vision of exciting new development is met
- Work with contracted show set and props vendors
- Drafting scopes of work, directives, and change orders with managing responsible individual
- Reviewing 3D models, designs, and construction drawings
- Coordinating meetings with vendors and Universal Creative counterparts
- Assist with creation and documentation mockups
- Provide weekly status reports with impacts
- Work with multiple disciplines to create and update schedules
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
- Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- An official transcript may be required upon request.
- Preferred majors include: Themed Entertainment, Architecture, Interiors, Build Environment, Engineering
EXPERIENCE: Prior internship experience related to position is preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:
- Experience with design and construction drawings
- Fabrication experience (taking project from design to fabrication)
- Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Superior written & verbal communication skills.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
- Consistent attendance.

- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than August 2023.
