Internship description:
Staff will be working with a team of Landscape Architects responsible for coordinating the delivery of public parks.
Day-to Day responsibilities include helping with the Park Asset team with park projects in either the planning, design or construction phases. Some of these duties may include: Driving a city vehicle, scanning documents, and helping with park asset inventory and conditions, assessments, drafting, and plan review. The intern will provide support to staff members as needed. To Develop Preliminary landscape architectural technical skills and experience in the area of park planning, design, and construction
To obtain fundamental knowledge of park planning, design and construction
To develop communication skills, visual and verbal
To work closely with operations and maintenance as well as management staff.
To be a liaison to the community and represent the Parks and Recreation Department.
