A Tech Support Technician works alongside other skilled workers to support assembling electronics, installing, servicing, repairing, and replacing digital signage components. The technician should be able to read instructions and communicate effectively to provide technical issues solutions to customers on time and with professional quality. Their duties included handling digital signage hardware, warehouse facilities, receiving incoming goods, managing inventory, receiving phone calls, communicating customers via emails, updating property management databases, solving customer issues, and assisting with supply procurement. 

Responsibilities of a Tech Support Technician

  • Creates and edits technical documentation, such as assembly manuals, installation manuals, processing Return Merchandise Authorization, factory acceptance test (FAT) reports, etc.
  • Provides tech support via email and verbal communication with suppliers and customers 
  • Assembles electronics materials: setting up electronic systems; installing components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings; fabricating and adhering glass to digital signage using rivets, screws, or bolts.
  • Organizes logistics, such as packaging, arranging truck pickups and deliveries, and overseeing deliveries from office to docks 
  • Builds products, such as electric motors, computers, electronic control devices, and sensors.
  • Modifies/replaces components on printed circuit board assemblies.

Workplace in Miami: 1501 NW 23rd Street, Miami, Florida 33142

Working hours: 8:15 AM – 4:45 PM, Monday through Friday, Part-time and Full-time

Skills: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to use tools, such as power drills, screwdrivers, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Able to incorporate IT principles, standards, and processes related to digital media & signage.

 

Educational Background: Computer Hardware, Logistics Management, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Architecture   

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Exposed to typical office environment conditions and industrial building noise levels.
