Fernando Rodriguez

Fernando Rodriguez has an academic and professional background in the integration of architecture, visualization, and data sciences. He received a master’s degree in architecture from Florida International University (FIU) in 2018, where he also worked as an assistant at the Robotics and Digital Fabrication Lab (RDF) at the School of Architecture. In 2019, he received a post-professional Master of Arts in Architecture (MAA) degree from FIU. For this, he was awarded a Graduate Research Fellowship from FIU’s Center of Research Excellence in Science and Technology (CREST), a National Science Foundation (NSF) Center. During this period, he contributed to an interdisciplinary research project that focused on data visualization for communicating ecological information. He also continued to work at the RDF as a visualization specialist. Following his MAA degree, he worked for MSA Architects as a design manager. Currently, he is a candidate for the Doctor of Design (DDes) degree at FIU’s School of Architecture, where he is continuing his research on data-driven procedural generation.
