Deepti Zachariah

Deepti Zachariah a Doctor of Design candidate at Florida International University (FIU), is an Indian architect and a designer who has worked on multidisciplinary projects across the world. Her master’s in architecture in DIA, Germany, led to five years of work experience at Zaha Hadid Architects. Among several distinguished projects, she served on the design team for Hyder Aliev Culture Centre in Azerbaijan which won the Design of the Year in 2014.
As an early adopter of Human Centered Design, Deepti has successfully expanded her entrepreneurial venture, Revolution by Design, which delivers contextual solutions for spaces and businesses in emerging markets. She has also developed curricula and taught courses on creativity and computing in premier institutions such as the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
Deepti’s explorations in computational ideas for traditional crafts and artisans have led her to the TEDx stage twice. She is currently based in France where she works as a strategic consultant for a luxury craft atelier. Through her doctoral research, she looks to foster the development of accessible computational tools for artisans.
