Bhavleen Kaur is an architect, interdisciplinary researcher, and educator specializing in computational design and robotics in architectural education. Her work explores the future of autodidactic learning to address technical and socioeconomic barriers.
She holds a Doctor of Design (DDes) from Florida International University (FIU) and is a visiting assistant professor. She serves as the Research Group Lead for the NSF’s Research on Innovative Technologies for Enhanced Learning (RITEL) and Augmented Learning for Environmental Robotics (ALERT) programs at the RDF Lab. Bhavleen is a recipient of 2024 FIU- Outstanding Graduate Award, an AAUW International Fellowship’24, the Autodesk ACADIA 2023 BIPOC and ROB|ARCH 2024 scholarships. She is also a steering member of DigitalFUTURES, a volunteer-led platform for architectural education. She holds a postgraduate degree in Scientific Communication from ISEC-Lisbon and a Master’s in Advanced Architecture from ELISAVA-Barcelona. From 2015 to 2022, she was an assistant professor of computational design at BSSA, Mumbai.
