Laura de la Vega was born and raised in Cuba, where she acquired a degree in Fine Arts prior to coming to the United States to become an Architect. She completed her bachelor’s degree in fine art from UM and a Master’s Degree in Architecture at Florida International University and since then decided she was unwilling to restrict her creative express into the occupancies of her architectural jobs. Projects I have been involved in: -Interim (PM &Team Leader) -Development at US1 Bus stops with Perez & Perez-And Port of Miami, Carnival Cruise Terminal. I became Founder and Principal Estudio LAAVA an Architecture & Design Studio. We focus mainly is Public Arts Intervention, Mult I family projects and interior renovations. Must recently jobs, Art installations for Design Miami during Art Basel 2021-2023 , renovations at the Miami Beach Botanic Garden and Sculpture Garden at The Underline. This year I’ll be collaborating with The Friends of the Underline on a new 2000 SQ FT public intervention.
