Sara Valente
Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor, Architecture + Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab
Sara Valente holds a degree in Architecture from the Universidad Central de Venezuela (magna cum laude) and a Master degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, where she has served as visiting critic among other universities such as UM, in Miami-FL, Parsons in NY, Woodbury University and The New School of Architecture & Design in San Diego, CA. She is a LEED Accredited Professional (2009) and co-founder of STEREOTANK (2009), an art/design/research practice dedicated to the creation of public art and to the exploration of the common grounds between space and sound. From 2011 to 2016 she worked as a Project Architect at LOT-EK, a cutting edge and award-winning architectural studio based in NYC. Valente has been an adjunct professor at the FIU School of Architecture in Miami, FL since 2017, where she is also currently a Doctor of Design (DDes) candidate.
