Do you believe all children are created equal? Are you inspired to break stereotypes of commonly misrepresented populations in media? Are you motivated to make self-care tools accessible to all teenagers?
Show and Heal is a diversity and social inclusion nonprofit which 1) facilitates after-school programming in self-care and 2) utilizes social media to educate young people about experiences, perspectives, and traditions through interviews and documentaries.
In order for our message of inclusion and diversity to be spread, we need support in relaunching and creating a professional social media presence.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge in social media pages, such as IG, FB, YouTube, SnapChat, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.
• Social media management experience
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn running ads; Facebook, Google, and email campaigns.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to create and/or editing content.
• Running ads, website maintenance, and email campaign knowledge is a plus!
Learning Objectives:
Utilize social media for the purpose of cultural education and social justice.
Understand social media as a tool for marketing.
Implement marketing campaigns for a higher purpose.

We have a team of mental health counselors, social workers, teachers, nonprofit directors, grant writers, and other professionals in the field who will all provide input and supervision depending on the assignment.
You will meet with the Executive Director or another staff and review progress on goals set during the beginning of the internship. We will check-in to determine was is working and what is not. We will revise or change goals depending on the outcomes and students will receive positive and constructive feedback.
Students majoring in market research analyst/PR/communications/marketing/web design, etc. are encouraged to apply, but it’s not required.
