THR33FOLD is now accepting applicants for our Fall semester copywriting internship program. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic creative writer who has the ability to write in a wide variety of styles and tones. This individual will work closely with the strategic, creative, and PR teams. Excellent copywriting skills and strong understanding of branding is crucial. It is extremely important that the applicant has a broad range of writing styles, as they will be creating content & writing for blogs, articles, social media, apps, websites, and ads across multiple brands. Flexibility and attention to detail is an absolute must. He/she must be willing to work hard, have strong communication abilities, take direction well, and must not be afraid to ask questions.
The THR33FOLD internship program is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience creating work under the direction of Sr. creatives on global and emerging brands. Chosen individuals will be assigned to work on one or more of the following projects listed below and will be allowed to use final approved work in his/her portfolio.
Fall Program Date:
August-December (Can take Final exams off)
Candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week.
All team would be remote until further notice.
This is an unpaid internship. May be paid depending on previous agency experience. For-credit internship is available.
Exceptional interns may be eligible for returning Spring/Summer semester paid internships.
PROJECTS
All projects will be working in collaboration with and under the direction and guidance of Sr. creatives:
- Collaborate with brand strategists, creative team, and PR team for concepts and copy generation
- Write content for mobile applications, blogs, social media, internal client communication, brand communication materials, press releases, news stories, etc. based on direction provided by the senior team
- Create both long-form and short-form copy for a variety of brand personalities
Required Qualifications
- Strong portfolio or writing samples are a must (applications submitted without either will not be considered)
- Strong grammar skills with a mastery of sentence structure and punctuation
- Storytelling is a must
- Ability to switch tones and styles easily
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of social media and the digital landscape
- Must be a team player and take direction
- Ability to work independently and think strategically in any given situation
- Positive, can-do attitude with an emphasis on self-motivation, initiative, integrity and desire to deliver quality work
- Must be a junior or senior at an accredited university—concentration on communications is a plus
- Previous agency experience is preferred
- Ability to meet internship period weekly hours requirement
