Position Summary:
The incumbent develops marketing communications strategies, digital and print promotions to effectively promote MBA products and services. The incumbent will work directly with our in-house design team, association staff and Director of Marketing to support ongoing priorities. Must have strong project management skills, be a fluent writer with strong creative skills and have keen understanding of digital campaign analysis. Must have the ability to handle many projects at once especially during peak periods.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute creative marketing plans for MBA’s products, events, programs and services.
- Serve as strategic partner and marketing lead to assigned internal client groups by exhibiting effective leadership and project management skills when working with internal clients, in-house designers and communications group colleagues in planning, writing, developing, and coordinating marketing and communications campaigns.
- Produce effective electronic promotions including targeted email marketing, web site and social media content.
- Produce compelling and creative print collateral that support the larger promotional campaign.
- Create strong and creative written copy that supports MBA’s brand and value positioning.
- Assist the Director of Marketing in ensuring consistent message and visuals in all marketing collateral.
- Monitor and assess marketing metrics throughout each campaign cycle, and make necessary adjustments to ensure meeting or exceeding stated revenue goals. Develop marketing analysis reports to determine campaign effectiveness.
- Pull effective target lists through understanding of target audience attributes and database organization.
- Be responsible for completing each project within budget.
- Adhere to production schedules and meet stated deadlines for all MBA marketing projects. Track progress of projects and identify potential production delays and problems.
- Attend regular department meetings for assigned internal accounts to proactively manage changing needs and new promotional opportunities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mass Communications, Marketing, or Liberal Arts is required. Minimum of five (5) years of experience at an ad agency or in house communications department is required. An advanced degree is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills, journalism is a plus, as well as organizational skills are essential. Requires proven analytical, research and project management capabilities. Ability to work well with others and provide leadership and project management required. Advanced knowledge and experience in area of specialization. Able to undertake relatively complex management and substantive tasks within the functional area with minimal supervision. Strong creative skills and computer skills are required. Experience in managing budgets required. Experience in associations or financial services a plus.
