Supervised by: Communications Director

Minimum Qualifications: Hiring subject to applicable URJ and Pennsylvania State background checks.

Passion for photography and/or videography. Experience using a DSLR camera. Knowledge of photo-editing software such as Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop and/or knowledge of editing software, preferably Adobe Premiere. Must be able to demonstrate flexibility, manage multiple responsibilities at once and work as part of a team. Love and/or respect for The Arts and a diverse community is a must.

Responsibilities

JEWISH

  • Orchestrate content creation that can be used for Jewish and secular holiday posts throughout the year
  • Photograph or record ritual moments
  • Actively participate and demonstrate respect in ritual moments
  • Incorporate core values and summer theme in meaningful and appropriate ways

ARTS

  • Capture content that tells the story of the process of creating and refining camper work up until the final production.
  • Photograph or record showcase rehearsals and performances
  • Support campers in their skills training and artistic growth
  • Cheer at showcase

CAMP

  • Coordinate with the Communications Director on blog and social media posts throughout the summer.
  • Actively participate and encourage others in camp activities
  • Contribute to the overall positive morale of the camp community
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of staff, camper, and family information
  • Other duties as requested

Photo

  • Photograph each camper, every day during Majors, Minors, Kinesthetic Arts, and camp-wide programs, as well as during unstructured time
  • Edit and upload approximately 75 photos daily to our online platform, CampMinder
  • Produce Showcase slideshows for the end of each session
  • Edit and produce photos to use for future marketing and communications during off-season

Video

  • Capture daily footage of campers in both scheduled activities and unstructured moments
  • Edit and produce weekly videos summarizing the 6 Points Creative Arts Academy experience
  • Edit and produce a short Opening Day re-cap video each session
  • Edit and produce videos to use for future marketing and communications during off-season
