Job purpose

 Designs and creates computer-based, web-based, or multimedia-based layouts, graphics, animation, and/or content for use in presentations, video productions, multimedia programs, websites, communications, and other electronic media, based on established marketing plans with key stakeholders and in support of the Digital and Outbound Marketing Teams.

 

Duties and responsibilities/essential function

 ·        Conceptualize and create custom illustrations, brochures, magazines, ads, logos, signage, web pages, e-mails, motion graphic, show booth design, awards, and any other AWS related materials. Formulate layout design and material details, such as style, font, photographs, animation, and video.

  • Work with content writers and digital and outbound marketing specialists within the marketing team to verbalize and visually represent the messaging and presence of AWS in all outbound marketing activities.
  • Maintain messaging and branding consistency in all activities both externally and internally.
  • Uses graphic design computer software and tools to compose original images for branding, marketing collateral, training material, etc.
  • Contributes to brainstorming and development of design content and collateral.
  • Ensures all graphic representations are in accordance with the AWS Brand Book.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and independently in situations with minimal supervision.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

·        In 3rd or 4th year of a college program for Graphic Design, Art, Fine Arts, or equivalent field.

 

Experience:

·        Excellent computer design skills in print and web, and video. Understanding of color separations and process colors. Have a high interest in social trends.

Knowledge, abilities, and skills:

  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AfterEffects, Acrobat Pro, and Dreamweaver
  • Proficient working with both Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to excel in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining constant level of high quality
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to schedule and meet deadlines
  • Ability to be self-motivated
  • Ability to be a strong team player and work with multiple employees to achieve deadlines

Working conditions

·        Must be able to utilize office equipment such as desktop/notebook computers, copiers, printers, scanners, telephones, and calculators. 

·        The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 

Physical requirements

 ·        Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer.

·        Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

·        Prolonged periods sitting at meetings or conducting a meeting.
