Our internship program is in honor of Raquel Zarin, a beloved employee, mentor, and friend at the Ad Council. Raquel passed away in 2021 but left behind a legacy of grace, courage, hard work and great fun that we strive to emulate. She nurtured young talent, championed DEI, fought for immigration rights and was passionate about the importance of health equity. These are all principles that we hold in high esteem, and values that we want our future interns to establish during their time with us and beyond.
Job Summary
The Ad Council’s Digital Product Management team is looking for an intern to help create, measure and manage products for our social good campaigns.
You’ll learn how to build and optimize digital products, conduct user research, and work with cross-functional teams. You’ll also collaborate with fellow interns to propose a social good campaign for the Ad Council.
What you’ll do:
- Assist digital product management team in the development and management of various products, including websites, toolkits, and more.
- Work with fellow interns to create a proposal of an Ad Council social good campaign, and lead the digital product management process for this project
- Research and write blog posts for AdLibbing.org
- Research digital trends and perform competitive landscape reviews.
- Use analytics and user research reports to propose optimizations and new features.
- Capture notes, learnings, and ask questions during team meetings, development standups, and campaign team meetings.
- Resize images, review copy, and add content to our websites using a content management system.
- Conduct quality assurance testing during the launch of new products or features.
- Collaborate with Ad Council interns to identify the next pressing social issue to become an Ad Council campaign. The intern team will work through the end of the summer program to research, develop and present a campaign proposal to the Ad Council staff.
What you bring:
● Undergraduate-level student with a passion for social good.
● Interest in web design, web development, advertising, communications, or graphic design.
● A desire to learn about how to build digital tools that promote important causes
● Detailed oriented and organized
● Excellent problem solver and communicator
● An entrepreneurial spirit in a fast-paced environment
● Ability to work East Coast hours
Qualities of a standout candidate:
● Familiarity with UX/UI design, product or project management
● Familiarity with quality assurance testing or website development
● Familiarity with Google Analytics
● Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
