Are you passionate about art and sustainability? Would you like to build community partnerships and inspire others to get creative, take better care of the planet? The Arts and Sustainability Education Leader will help Turnip Green Creative Reuse develop and maintain partnerships with schools and local organizations to create new programs. 

Position Description 

You will love this service role if you love art, the environment, and teaching others! Members best suited for this role are passionate about kids, meeting new people, and being hands-on. They have experience or interest in creating curriculum or program plans. They are eager to serve in a range of environments – from schools, to festivals, street fairs, and beyond! Valuing accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion is key. 

The Arts and Sustainability Education Leader will build and maintain partnerships in Metro Nashville Public Schools and other local organizations through the creation of new programs and educational opportunities. Members will develop curriculum and/or plans for these programs. This member will ensure that materials, staffing, curriculum and marketing are complete for each program regularly and will engage in leadership by facilitating and teaching program curriculum. 

This AmeriCorps member will leave their service term with enriched knowledge in sustainability, arts education, program and curriculum building and facilitating, project management, and community partnership building.
