The Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a passion for the Institute’s mission and with a desire to showcase the excellence of the Spanish-speaking world. This high achiever and self-starter must be media-savvy and assist in the development of programs and events for the QSSI. This position reports directly to the Media and Program Development Coordinator.
Responsibilities & Skills:
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Program Coordination:
- Support the Executive Team to successfully coordinate the programs and activities of the Institute and meet the organizational objectives both online and in person.
- Serve as liaison with speakers for events, working with speakers to coordinate presentation, travel and logistical needs, both digital and in-person.
- Manage attendee inquiries and requests.
Digital Media:
- Assist the Executive Team with Digital Media management.
- Assist Executive Team in preparing and posting content for QSSI social media pages.
- Monitor mentions, hashtags, and trending topics in the field, and capture and respond to followers, interactions, and inquiries on social media platforms.
- Assist in editing, updating, and creating content for the QSSI website.
- Initiate and maintain relationships with press and external PR firm.
- Contribute to raising awareness about the Institute’s programs and activities.
Asset Management:
- Compile social media, email, and website reports with Google Analytics and HubSpot.
- Help organize and maintain patron base and photo/digital asset database.
Development:
- Identify new business development opportunities and function as liaison with donors and corporate sponsors.
- Develop relationships with community and educational institutions to heighten the profile of the Institute.
- Produce corporate materials to promote and expand the Institute’s donor and partner base as required.
Administrative Support:
- Provide day-to-day operational, logistical, and administrative support to the Executive Team.
- Translate important documents when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the field of Education/Cultural/Non-profit organizations is preferred.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of social media trends, best practices, and community management, and ability to compose and edit digital content.
- Ability to work well collaboratively and independently, exercise discretion and independent judgment regularly, and multi-task effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Ease as an initiative-taker and a team-player while quickly adapting to a dynamic and changing environment.
- Familiarity with WordPress, HubSpot, or other CRM platforms.
- Familiarity of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.), and other design tools.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years of experience in a related field.
- Passion for and deep understanding of the mission of the QSSI.

The QSSI is currently operating on a hybrid model, and it is expected that the team will be able to go to the office three days per week. Our offices are located at 575 Madison Avenue, 10th Floor New York, NY 10022. If not based in the tri-state area, candidates should be willing to relocate.
At this time, the QSSI cannot sponsor work visas. Salary commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package.
Vaccination Requirement
