POSITION OVERVIEW
The Partnership for Public Service is a $25 million organization wherein substantial portions of revenue come from federal agencies for employees participating in our open enrollment leadership development programs. We are seeking an associate to support the full lifecycle of enrolling program participants, including participant application review, acceptance and payment tracking. In addition, the associate will support the Partnership’s finance and accounting team with processing payments and building the annual organizational budget and will collaborate with staff across the Partnership, as well as external stakeholders, to invoice for and collect receivables.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a general working knowledge of Partnership staff, programs and activities.
- Support the Partnership’s accounting efforts, including the generation of invoices and processing of customer payments.
- Assist with accounts receivable aging tracking and follow-up.
- Assist with the annual organizational budget build.
- Work cross-functionally with teams to support enrollment processes for the Partnership’s open enrollment programs, including participant application review, acceptance and payment tracking.
- Regularly monitor and respond to requests received via the program enrollment and invoicing mailboxes within 24 hours (will have backup if out of office).
- Coordinate with the business development team to benchmark progress toward program enrollment targets.
- Manage participant and program records on Salesforce.
- Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional work experience, including military experience, required.
- One to two years’ experience required, which can include internships, co-curricular activities and/or relevant coursework.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint, required.
- Experience using Salesforce preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY/REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position is on the Operations team and reports to the Staff Accountant on the Operations team. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a hybrid (remote + office) environment in Washington, DC, and requires consistent use of office equipment such as computer, telephone, printer and scanner.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with regular work hours Monday – Friday. Occasional evening or weekend activities may be required. Please note that the Partnership allows flexibility in work schedules.
TRAVEL
If travel occurs, it is usually local and during the business day.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
The starting salary for this role is between $47,500 and $50,000. The Partnership offers a compensation package that includes a competitive salary; medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; long- and short-term disability insurance; a 401K program with a 4 percent employer match; opportunities for training and development; 15 days of annual leave per year, 10 days of sick leave per year, plus all federal holidays and the day after Thanksgiving off; and use of an on-site exercise facility.
