As an Interior Designer within the Specialty Interiors (formerly Experience Design) practice in our Manhattan office, you will have the opportunity to work across a wide variety of projects – from traditional commercial healthcare and corporate projects, to hospitality, retail, and entertainment clients and projects, as well as specialized elements like exhibits, brand systems, artwork programs, custom furniture design, and wayfinding. Our studio is a cross-functional collaborative group that both takes on standalone projects, and knits into existing teams on larger projects – always with an eye to crafting a positive user experience.
Unique skills beyond interiors are critical – particularly strong graphic design and illustration or visualization – and candidates are encouraged to highlight special skills. Ability to deliver creative excellence under pressure is a must – candidates with experience in hospitality firms or similar demanding boutique settings, and those with a voracious love of design and strong design aesthetic are encouraged to apply.
This position is located in our New York City office, and will require the ability to travel as requested to project sites, client meetings, and events both across the city, the region, and beyond. Attendance with or in place of office leaders in a variety of after-hours events will be periodically expected. Though not required, NCIDQ is a large plus – candidates should share their certification status or where they are in the testing process.
We are a flexible, hybrid workplace – setting a schedule each week of both in-office collaboration and remote, focused work-from-home, always with an eye to work/life balance and supportive culture – while delivering excellence in everything we do.
