The Fundraising intern will support the multi-faceted Wolf Trap Development Team during the busy spring season with cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individuals and institutions. You will provide support to membership, leadership giving, corporate and foundation partners, capital campaign, and planned giving teams; assist with events as needed. Specific projects may include:
- Assist with member processing, on-boarding and benefit services
- Donor research and prospecting
- Donor acknowledgment and recognition
- Writing articles for member website and enewsletter
- Working in our donor database Raiser’s Edge
- Customer service via email, phone and in person
- Assist with tracking and processing corporate presale ticket orders
- Conduct background research on prospective corporate and foundation funders as needed
Requirements
- Strong computer skills (MS Word and Excel), experience with Raiser’s Edge software is helpful but not necessary
- Outstanding writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Efficient organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Exceptional customer service skills, creativity, and initiative
Expected Duration: 12 weeks (part-time)
Pay rate: $12/hour
This is a hybrid position (in-person and remote work). Applicants must be local to the DC metro area for the duration of their internship assignment to attend select in-person meetings and/or events.
