Dawn Chan

Dawn Chan is a New York-based writer and editor whose work appears in the, Bookforum, New York Times, the, New York Magazine, the Paris Review, the Village Voice, and, among other publications. Dawn also frequently contributes to Artforum, where she was an editor from 2007 to 2018. A former guest critic at RISD, MICA, and CCNY, Dawn was a coder / AI researcher in a previous lifetime, and is currently a visiting scholar at NYU's Center for Experimental Humanities. She is the winner of a 2018 Thoma Foundation art writing award in digital art, and a 2018 Warhol Arts Writers Grant.
