Amy Galpin

Amy Galpin, Ph.D., is the Chief Curator at the Frost Art Museum at Florida International University in Miami. Recent exhibitions include: Spheres of Meaning: An Exhibition of Artists’ Books, Cut: Abstraction in the U.S. from the 1970s to the Present, and Deconstruction: A reordering of Art, Politics, and Life. She was formerly the Curator at the Cornell Fine Arts Museum of Rollins College and Associate Curator, Art of the Americas, at the San Diego Museum of Art. In addition to exhibitions at these institutions, she has also curated exhibitions for the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago; the Pasadena Museum of California Art; Woman Made Gallery, Chicago; Orlando Science Center; and the Mennello Museum of American Art, Orlando; among other spaces. Other work experience includes employment at the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum and the Terra Museum of American Art. She is working with MoCA North Miami on the South Florida Consortium exhibition for fall 2019 and with Oolite Arts on a solo project for winter 2020.
