Jennifer Ford

Adjunct Faculty | Art History
MA from NYU in the Humanities, Doctoral Studies Degree from Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts - IDSVA
My name is Dr. Jennifer Ford, and as a Humanities and Art History instructor, I believe in the full integration of history and the arts. As an owner of an art gallery and art consulting firm, I look for ways to interest the public in the arts through interdisciplinary thought and cross-marketing. I work across various subject matter to make education relevant to real-world experiences! I received my MA from NYU in the Humanities, and since that time I have lived and worked in different areas of the art business all over the world. I began working at the MFA in Boston in the education department and soon after transferred to a corporate art consulting firm, Boston Art, where I worked with the corporate art programs. In NYC, I was a sales manager for an internet-based art firm called Eyestorm and a gallery assistant at the Stefan Stux Gallery. Most recently, I worked for the Miami based artist Romero Britto in his wholesale division focusing on European Gallery Events which led me to a position as Gallery Director for Hartinger Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria. I am currently a private art advisor for art collections at the Interior Design firm Choice Designs and I have a Doctoral Studies Degree with IDSVA concentrating on a blend of art and business. Last year I opened an art gallery concentrating on Midwestern Art. My work with several local and national philanthropic associations focuses on empowering women through the arts. When I am not working in the arts, I enjoy traveling with my family to experience new cultures! Last year we were able to visit friends in Uganda and Lebanon, and I am hoping this year will bring new adventures in art and travel.
