Carlos Enrique Gallostra is a representational artist and instructor based in Miami, Florida. In his work, he strives to capture subjects that express a wistful and sentient spirit. The work is imbued with a strikingly emotional weight that is further heightened by an intent to showcase the imagery as it is revealed by light and form.

Gallostra holds a B.F.A. from the University of Florida in affiliation with the New World School of the Arts, a conservatory in the heart of Downtown Miami, as well as an M.F.A. and an M.S. from the Pratt Institute of New York. In addition, Gallostra has furthered his studies at various ateliers and academies including the Florence Academy of Art in Italy, Romero Studio (formerly Romero y Hidalgo) and the Ryder Studio of Santa Fe, NM. As an educator for well over fifteen years, Gallostra instructs private clientele as well as conducts courses at the University of Miami, the New World School of the Arts and the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. Dedicated to providing the best possible experiences for his students, Gallostra's teaching methodology is derived from a wide range of academic techniques and experiences aimed to train the eye, mind and heart.
