
Tori Arpad-Cotta’s site-based practice traces rusted farm remnants and unbuilt places accessible only by foot or kayak. She has been Artist-in-Residence with AIRIE–Everglades National Park, the Center for Land Use, and Land Arts of the American West. Her honors include a Florida State Cultural Council Artist’s Fellowship and the NCECA Emerging Artist Award. Arpad-Cotta has exhibited internationally since 1996, including the Shumen Biennial in Bulgaria. Her work appears in Land Arts of the American West, Confrontational Ceramics, and Ceramics: Mastering the Craft. She teaches at Florida International University, chairs the Art + Art History Department, and cultivates land in the Redland Agricultural District.
