Available Art + Art History Scholarships

Scholarship applications for the 24-25 Academic Year open March 1st and close March 24th.

Recipients who have completed a FAFSA, may not exceed Cost of Attendance with Federal aid and scholarships. Scholarship award may affect eligibility for Federal Work Study.

Coconut Grove Arts Festival Visual Arts Scholarship Requirements: Scholarship will be awarded to students enrolled in or accepted for admission to the University, who are seeking a degree within Art + Art History.

Eligibility criteria for the scholarship are as follows:

  • Recipients must be in good academic standing.
  • Applicants will submit 5-7 images (pdf), a video of works, and/or a link to dedicated webpage of images/works along with a written artist statement about their creative process and why they would like to be part of the Coconut Grove Arts Festival Emerging Artist Mentor Program.

Amount Awarded: $3000 * Awarded during the 24-25 academic year. Students must be enrolled during the awarding terms (Fall and Spring terms).

Students must be U.S. Citizens, permanent residents or International students on an F1 visa to be eligible for FIU based awards. Recipients who have completed a FAFSA, may not exceed Cost of Attendance with Federal aid and scholarships. Scholarship award may affect eligibility for Federal Work Study.

Scholarship Requirements: To establish and endow scholarship to benefit students in Dept. of Visual Arts, in memory of Anisa Matthews. Scholarship will be awarded to students enrolled in or accepted for admission to the University, who are seeking a degree within Art + Art History.

Undergraduate and Graduate degree seeking in the Department of Art + Art History. Applicants must be registered in courses during semester of award. Only registered students are eligible to apply.

Scholarship Requirements: Dr. and Mrs. Sia Bozorgi Scholarship will be awarded to Undergraduate and Graduate degree seeking students in the Department of Art + Art History. Students must be enrolled in or accepted for admission to the University. Applicants must be registered in courses during semester of award.

Undergraduate: BA in Art or Art History, BFA in Art or Digital Arts, BS Art Education
Graduate: MFA in Art, MS or MAT in Art Education

Applicants must be registered in courses during semester of award. Application requirements are as follows:

  • If Applicant is a Studio / Digital Arts / Art Education Student: 5 Images of recent artwork– 300 dpi. (if submitting videos, 20-seconds maximum duration)
  • If Applicant is an Art History Student – submit a recent writing sample.
  • 500-word Bio statement.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Be a citizen of the United States, a U.S. lawful permanent resident or an international student on an aid eligible visa.

The Ratcliffe Art + Design Incubator is a creative entrepreneurial laboratory based at FIU’s Biscayne Bay Campus.

RA+DI’s mission is to bridge the gap between creative practitioners and entrepreneurial success while promoting innovation within the FIU community. Our core program offers one to two-year fellowships to students in the disciplines that compose the College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts (CARTA).
