School of Communication Internship Program

The School of Communication is pleased to work with students currently participating in internships designed to provide a real-life, experience-based component to their studies.

Faculty is invested in student success and work diligently to assist students in securing internships or research positions before graduation. Through the Internship Program, students earn course credits while working 15-20 hours per week for a 3-credit internship (undergraduate or graduate). Students gain real world experience related to their future career goals and develop valuable relationships that help them start on their career paths.

Please note, if you are taking the course for 3 credits, you will pay regular tuition for the course. The course has assignments and evaluations throughout the semester. There is also a 0-credit option for students who don’t need the credit, but want the internship shown on their transcript.

In order to take the COM 4940 course (undergraduate) or COM 6945 (graduate), students must be currently in the internship for the semester you are intending to register. We will not accept past experiences.
