Dr. Zhou’s research involves designing and evaluating persuasive messages using digital communication technologies, such as serious digital games and interactive websites, for health education purposes. Her current research projects focus on the use of narratives and interactive narratives in health communication. Dr. Zhou has published on Journal of Health Communication, Health Communication, Health Education, Journal of Intercultural Communication Research, as well as other peer-reviewed journals. She has also presented her work at the conferences of the National Communication Association, International Communication Association, and Kentucky Conference on Health Communication over the past years. She teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses including Persuasion, Communication Theory, and Research Methods in Communication at FIU.
