
Tina Varjabedian is a communications strategist and marketing professional with over a decade of experience leading brand, messaging, and campaign strategies across the real estate, retail, lifestyle, and global consumer sectors. She currently serves as Vice President of Strategy and Development at Starlife Group, a South Florida-based real estate development firm, where she oversees brand positioning, investor marketing, and strategic growth.
Her previous roles include Head of Global Communications at Chiquita Brands, where she led international brand storytelling and media strategy, along with senior leadership positions at Turnberry (Aventura Mall), Whole Foods Market, and Viacom. In each role, she’s driven integrated campaigns that combine creative messaging with strategic execution to support brand growth and audience engagement.
An FIU alum, she earned her M.S. in Global Strategic Communication in 2012 and worked as a Graduate Assistant supporting research on media strategy and communication trends. She also completed executive training in Crisis Communication from Cornell University and holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from California State University, Los Angeles.
She began teaching in higher education to share her experience in marketing, strategy, and communication in a way that’s both meaningful and applied. She has taught courses in public speaking and integrated marketing communications, emphasizing the link between strategic messaging, audience connection, and brand success. Her teaching bridges theory with real-world application, guiding students to strengthen their voice, sharpen interpersonal communication skills, and approach marketing challenges with clarity, creativity, and strategic intent. She is passionate about mentoring emerging professionals and preparing them to lead in today’s fast-moving, media-driven world.
