Jessica Rodriguez

Jessica Rodriguez is a Research Coordinator for the Department of Communication and a part-time graduate student in the Department of Earth & Environment at FIU. Her research, supervised by Dr. Mahadev Bhat, focuses on understanding the roles and perceptions of different science communicators and improving science communication practices. Jessica was recently recognized as one of the Sea Level Solutions Center’s Graduate Students of the Year in Social Sciences, and also served as co-chair for the first-ever ComSciCon Miami, a science communication conference for STEM graduate students. She received her B.S. degree in Biology with a second major in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Psychology from FIU in 2017.
