Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain administrative requirements and keep projects organized
  • Report to Senior Project Manager and must be able to communicate scheduling conflicts to them while providing solutions that enable you to complete your responsibilities
  • Produce and/or oversee the selection and design of all FF&E, finishes and general design concept beginning with conceptual design taken through the phases of design development, construction documents, construction administration and installation
  • Coordinate proactively & collaborate with other members of the 2-3-member design team
  • Provide design solutions to guide fabrication consultants (custom furniture, soft goods, custom lighting, etc.). Review their shop drawings to ensure design intent is executed
  • Accommodate deadline expectations agreed to by both client and design team
  • Coordinate with all or some of the following: private client, builder/GC, developer, and architect
  • Present design ideas and details with confidence and authority
  • Provide design solutions “in the moment” during presentations, site visits, client meetings and consultant meetings
  • Multi-task several projects at once staying productive and efficient
  • Supervise design associates and/or interns within the design department

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design
  • 3-4 years experience preferred
